Special Report
On Monday, October 21, 2002: Hamilton Community Energy (HCE) took delivery of a new 180,000 lbs engine that will drive the company's new Energy Centre now being constructed on the grounds of Sir John A. Macdonald School. It measures a little over thirty feet long and fifteen feet high.

October 22, 8:00 am: The engine arrives on site.

President Bob Desnoyers watches as workers connect the harnesses that will hoist the engine into the air and drop it gently into place.

This huge 400-ton crane will lift the engine into place.

The highly skilled crane operator swings the engine up and over this tree, without harming a leaf.

Home at last. It's lowered into place at about 11 am!
