Well, if you have been following the progress
of our project through these reports you are going to notice a significant
change since the week 16 report. Week 24 brings us to approximately
December 20.

It has been a real love/hate relationship with the
weather through November. On one hand the milder weather allowed
us to continue to work on the exterior block work and more importantly
the roof system in order to make the building weather tight. On
the other hand, the milder weather turned the site into a real quagmire
as can be seen by the photo above.

Much of the owner supplied equipment like the main
distribution pump shown below has arrived on site and now awaits
installation inside the building.

Crews jockey the distribution pump into place.

The waste-heat recovery boiler is ready to be hoisted
into the air and mounted on the steel columns suspending it high
above the engine room floor. Exhaust gas from the engine will be
directed through the heat recovery boiler via breeching and duct
work where the heat is recovered from the exhaust and transferred
to the district heating water.

As compared to the Week 16 report you can see the
building taking shape.

Roofing activities are priority throughout November
and into December. Its critical to have the building weather tight
before sensitive electrical equipment can be installed.

Mild weather allowed block work to continue throughout
most of November and December.

Crews working on the tapered insulation, which will
ensure positive draining once the final roof system is applied.

Final layer of water-tight roofing allows...

...our electrical equipment to be installed.

A local window installer, City Window, begins to install
the huge glass panels.

The building is nearly completely closed to the outside
elements.
